Founded in January 2014 by current owners Rod Sharp and Charlotte Weber, Sharp Plumbing Services has been providing a wide range of Plumbing, Gasfitting, Drainlaying and Roofing services to the Wanganui community and surrounding regions for over 10 years (As of Jan 2024).
Rod is a certifying plumber, gasfitter and drainlayer having completed a 4 year national certificate sitting the registration exams in plumbing and gasfitting in 2008. He followed this up by completing a 2 year national certificate in drainlaying and passing registration exam in 2010 before going on to study to become a certifying plumber, gasfitter and drainlayer.
Rod has been a dedicated plumber in this region for over 21years now and has built up a vast wealth of knowledge and experience which he draws on for the benefit of customers daily. Rod has carried out new housing, residential and commercial maintenance, rural and new commercial work over the years, working in the Wanganui community.
In the office, Charlotte has always been a very positive friendly presence answering the phone, emails, scheduling jobs and giving helpful advice going all the way back to the business’s humble beginnings in 2014. Rod and Charlotte have four soon to be five children and we are based in Wanganui East at their Moana St office and workshop.
One of the core focus points of Sharp Plumbing has always been to be as cost effective and efficient as possible when carrying out all forms of the work we do. One example of this being that we carry a huge range of products in Rod’s van to maintain efficiency and value for money.

Blocked toilet and drain leakage at our business. Was in need of an urgent help so called this company and the owner responded personally.
He inspected the whole venue and found out the problem fixed it and advice us on how best to keep on top of things.
So grateful and highly recommend this business.
